Durham, North Carolina. I headed to the place from Savannah Georgia. Headed to there with a simple idea, that a friend of mine wanted me to meet a friend of hers. So I drove. I drove 300+ miles to a city I had never been.

We met.

Family meets family. Sometimes when someone introduces you that you know and love it is easy to automatically connect. We took her dog Charlie for a walk along the river. Shared stories about art, journies, places we had been, projects we are creating. Easy, brilliant, open. Connectivity with a person that minutes before was a stranger.

Illumination.

The day was full with explorations of the city of Durham. Of historic Bull Durham baseball fields, of Duke University, of art and gardens and basketball.

The evening was filled with more expansion as two people quickly became friends over a love for the Warriors. A team, a game 1, a conversation, a chance to be in connection with all.
